Atlanta, Georgia & Detroit, MI | PathNorth member since 2024

Michelle leads the largest regional economic development certifying organization, Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) that facilitates $36 billion annually in economic output and sustains more than 209,500 jobs each year. She has personally advised hundreds of business owners about growth strategies and corporate processes, gaining billions of dollars in deal flow.

Michelle is an innovative solutionist who enjoys assessing and designing solutions, such as driving the creation of the first multi-corporation driven mobility incubator in the United States with a leading Silicon Valley incubator partner.  Though it launched during the pandemic, the incubator has exceeded its goals helping founders raise a couple of hundred million in funding, and also intentionally included women and people of color in each cohort.  In addition, 17 corporate partners now include Google, General Motors, Borg Warner and others.

Michelle founded Give & Receive, a non-profit that acted as a matchmaker, connecting individuals and businesses to various charities. The impact was far-reaching; one non-profit they helped to launch has now taught more than 600 African girls a research-based leadership curriculum via a multi-year academy. Likewise, based on her own family’s experience, Michelle later created Anoxic Brain Injury Advocates to provide resources and advocacy for patients and their families as she educates Congress, as well as medical and insurance providers.

Michelle is a 2021 Herndon Directors’ Institute Fellow, and a 2023 Deloitte Board Ready Women graduate.  She has gained invaluable public board experience as a Taylor Morrison Home Corporation (NYSE: TMHC) Board Fellow.  Likewise, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer appointed Michelle to serve on the state’s 16-member Black Leadership Advisory Council., Michelle earned her B.S. in Organizational Administration from Oklahoma State University and a J.D. from the University of Kansas.  Michelle is active within her community where she chaired the strategic planning committee for her church.  She and her husband Michael reside in Atlanta and Detroit.
