Aurimas Sabulis is a serial entrepreneur with a two-decade record of innovation in the field of construction technology. Beginning in 2010, he founded and served as CEO of INTUS Windows, a maker of architectural glass with manufacturing facilities across European continent and client base including hospitality brands Wyndham, Hilton, and Marriott. Ten years later, Mr. Sabulis launched prefabricated-exteriors company Dextall: using a proprietary digital interface, the company allows designers and developers to create high-performing, resilient, and environmentally sustainable construction envelopes out of all-in-one prefabricated panels, dramatically increasing efficiency, decreasing cost and reducing carbon footprint.
In its initial projects (all completed in just the last eighteen months), the Dextall building-exterior system has allowed its clients to slash completion timelines by upwards of 25% and bottom-line expenses by nearly 50% as compared to conventional methods. That track record that has led in turn to a string of long-term collaborations, including a multi-project strategic initiative with New York real-estate mainstay L&M Partners, as well as a designated-supplier role in the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority’s citywide refurbishment campaign. With capital support from major financing firms including the Stellifi Fund and Winklevoss Capital, Dextall is on pace to complete multiple ground-up multifamily apartment buildings in the next calendar year, while recladding several more for enhanced resident comfort and reduced energy consumption--all part of Mr. Sabulis’s goal of creating net-zero carbon future for the construction industry.
Mr. Sabulis believes the power of technology combined with smart business solutions can favorably bend cost curves, unleashing sustainability and long-term value for builders, owners and occupants of mid- and high-rise structures. In addition to his drive to transform the built environment, he has been a regular participant in Ironman competitions around the world, repeatedly finishing among the podium-ranked participants and ultimately qualifying for the multi-athletic event’s global championship in Kona Hawaii. He has spoken before the bipartisan House Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Caucus, and appeared as a thought leader panelist on net-zero carbon leadership and construction for the AIA Convention in 2014 and 2015. Mr. Sabulis received an MBA from Georgetown University.
