The Covid-19 pandemic has dialed up the 'fear factor' and magnified our sensitivity to risk. Yet playing it safe can put us at risk of holding back from taking the very actions that would enable us to thrive and elevate ourselves and others to higher ground.
In this session Dr. Margie Warell will draw on insights from her latest book, You’ve Got This! The Life-Changing Power of Trusting Yourself, giving you practical ways to back yourself more, doubt yourself less and be braver in how you work, live and lead. (There was no irony lost on Margie that her book was released the same week she was put into a quarantine in Singapore after her husband’s hospitalization for Covid-19.)
Recently returned to the US and living in Alexandria Virginia, Margie has walked the path of courage many times since growing up as the big sister of seven on a small dairy farm in rural Australia. She has spent the last 25 years working and living around the world, raising four children and emboldening people to live and lead more bravely. A Forbes columnist and board member of Forbes School of Business & Technology, Margie has been trusted by diverse organizations - such as NASA, Google, Salesforce, and the UN Foundation - to run courage-guiding programs, unlocking the creativity, ingenuity and potential that fear holds dormant.
Australia’s first Ambassador for Women in Global Business, Margie has a special passion for empowering women and advancing more to decision making tables and has run her Live Brave Weekends for women across the world. Join us for what is sure to be an uplifting session.
