We invite you to join us at Eagle Hill Farm, the Charlottesville horse farm of PathNorth members Rick and Susan Goings, for a leadership retreat September 11-13, 2019.
Our theme for these several days will be compelling and straightforward: The Great and Complex Thomas Jefferson: Perspective for Flawed Leaders. Jefferson understood power and human nature like few others. This enabled his genius to express itself in wondrous and complex ways. He was the father of the ideal of individual liberty, yet loved and had children by one of his slaves, Sally Hemings. He was passionate about many things, science, wine, architecture, books, family, women and gardens. Jefferson brought his great mind and fierce spirit to the ordering of the American experiment.
While we will focus on better understanding this giant figure, we also will consider our own contradictions and how we make sense of our personal narratives.
Spending time at the breathtakingly beautiful Monticello plantation and the Rotunda with its historic lawn of the University of Virginia will provide striking insights into the third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, and hopefully ourselves.
Space is limited. Register below or email Seth at skwiecien@pathnorth.com with questions.
